AN IMPERIAL GERMAN NAVAL DRESS-DIRK,
circa World War One, with etched double blind fullered 9 3/4in. stiletto blade, the ricasso signed 'ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN' together with the squirrel trademark, the reverse initialled 'D.H.', straight gilt-brass cross-guard with carved and flared quillions, the central sections carved with raised fouled anchors, push-button scabbard lock, ivorine grip with spiral wire binding and faceted and pierced crown pommel, complete with its polished brass scabbard embossed with geometrics and lightning bolts, the throat initialled ''S.m.s.'
